As of October 17, 2006, the world-famous Louvre Museum in Paris has had a modern Greek translation available for its visitor catalogue that provides commentary on the exhibitions and works of art. Previously a Greek translation had not been available despite the museum being host to one of the richest collections of ancient Greek antiquities in the world. These include masterpieces such as the Aphrodite of Milos, the Victory of Samothrace, the Kore of Samos, and even the fragments of the Temple of Zeus of Olympus and the Parthenon. Karelia Tobacco Company was one of two Greek sponsors that made this project possible.
